Real Rugby Academy is the vision of Liz Kirk, Marie Hahler and Micky Stewart. After extensive years playing the game, including international caps and World Cup appearances, their careers have evolved into coaching at youth, senior and international levels.

The vision on the Real Rugby Academy is to provide coaching based around the need for players to develop a solid foundation of general rugby skills. This will be achieved at our ‘Real Rugby Skills Camp’, while position specific skills are the focus at our ‘Real Rugby Labs’. In modern rugby, speed and power is only part of the of the game. A rugby player needs a well rounded skill set to effectively contribute to their teams success.

As a coaching team we are very excited to be able to offer the opportunity for youth boys and girls to develop their rugby skills with us and also their knowledge of the game. We are also looking forward to being able to help these young athletes with their diet and nutrition needs through Liz’s expert help as the Associate Director of the Nutritional Sciences program at the University of Washington.
